Shadowrocket documentation
A network proxy client for iOS and iPadOS. Developed by Shadow Launch Technology Limited and distributed only on the App Store. This site follows the official UI for install, import, connect, and troubleshooting. It does not provide nodes or installers.
Overview
The official name is Shadowrocket. On the device it imports a config, selects a node, and sends traffic through a proxy or leaves it direct according to rules.
The app does not provide servers or working nodes. Subscription URLs, QR codes, or manual parameters come from your own provider. Without that material you can still install the app and open Home, but SERVER only lists Add Server.
These pages describe the App Store listing named Shadowrocket, developer Shadow Launch Technology Limited, app ID 932747118. The store has other apps with similar names or icons. Check before you buy. Do not tap the first rocket-themed result.

What this site covers
Read this first so you do not treat a client guide as a node service.
You can look up
- How to verify the official app on the App Store and complete a purchase
- How to write in a subscription, QR code, or manual node
- What the switch, Connectivity Test, and three Global Routing modes mean
- Whether to check Home, Config, Data, or Diagnostics when you cannot connect
This site will not provide
- Unofficial IPA files or third-party installers
- Someone else’s Apple ID, or buying and refunds on your behalf
- Any subscription URL, QR code, or node parameters
- Side-by-side tutorials for Android or desktop clients
Before you start
Confirm these four items before you open the app. If any is missing, import and connect cannot finish.
-
A working iPhone or iPad
Shadowrocket has no Android or desktop version. System requirements are under Compatibility on the App Store product page. Read that row before you install.
-
The App Store on this device
Buy it from the App Store signed in on this iPhone or iPad. If that store does not list Shadowrocket, you need an Apple ID from a region that sells it.
-
Valid config material
Ask your provider for a subscription URL, a QR code, or complete node parameters. This site does not provide them. Without a config, the app will not show a node you can connect to.
-
System VPN permission
The first launch asks to add a VPN configuration. You must allow it, or no tunnel can be built. Permission may require Face ID, Touch ID, or the device passcode.

FAQ
These are the questions that come up most during install and connect. Finer comparisons are on the blog.
Do I need an Apple ID from a particular country?
Usually no. Buy it in the App Store signed in on this device. Only if that store does not list Shadowrocket do you need an Apple ID from a region that sells it.
Does this site provide nodes or subscriptions?
No. Shadowrocket is a client. You choose a provider and keep the subscription URL yourself.
Can I use Shadowrocket on Android?
No. The app is published only for iOS and iPadOS. Android needs another client. You cannot follow this directory step for step.
What if I bought the wrong app or need a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple, from Purchased on that Apple ID. Before you buy, confirm the developer is Shadow Launch Technology Limited so you do not confuse it with a look-alike.
The status bar shows VPN. Why will pages still not load?
The VPN badge only means the system tunnel is up. You still have to select a node and confirm with Connectivity Test. If the test fails, change the node or update the subscription first. Do not reinstall first.
The connection succeeds but pages fail. Should I reinstall?
Usually no. Check whether the mode is Direct, then change the node and update the subscription. Reinstalling cannot fix an expired subscription or a dead node.
The old node disappeared after I updated the subscription?
An update replaces the list contents. It does not automatically change the row you already selected. If the old name is gone, tap a node that is still there, then turn the switch on.
